In exercise of the powers Conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000 (53 of 2000), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of March, 2001,as the date on which the provisions of Section 7 of the said Act shall come into force.
