Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963) the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient so to do for the development of the Export Trade of India and Basmati Rice should be subject to quality control and inspection prior to export
