No. 14/2001 -Central Excise
G.S.R. 161(E).— In exercise of (he powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 ofl944), read whh sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 i-.f 1957) and sub-section (?) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Textile and Textile Articles ) Act, 1978 (40 of 1978), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest o to do, hereby makes the fallowing further amendments m the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (U> partmenl of Revenue), number 32/99-Central Excise, dated the 8th July 1999, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Annexure, under heading "1. ASSAM", -
(a) for sub-headmg "(D) Industrial Estates" and the entries relating thereto, the following sub- heading and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

G.S.R. 162 (E),— In the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 5/2001-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 1st March, 2001, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3. Sub-section (i), vide G.S.R. 139 (E) dated the 1st March, 2001, in the Table, in column (2), for "21.06" read "21.06 or 24,04", and in column (3) jgr "Pan masala, in retail packs containing ten grams or more per pack, other than ibc goods containing riot more than 10% betel nut by weight and not containing tobacco in any proportion" read ll(a) Pan masala (falling undei sub-heading No, 2106.00), in retail packs containing ten grams or more per pack, other than the goods containing not more than 10% betel nut by weight and not containing tobacco in any proportion; and (b) Pan masala containing tobacco (falling under sub-heading No. 2404.49)",
