NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 8th November, 2001

S. O. 1106(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 3A of National High- ways Act, 1956 (48/1956) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the land, the brief description of which has been given in the Schedule below, required for the public purpose of four laning of Chengalpattu-Tindivanam Section of National Highway No. 45 between No. 7 Palamathur and No. 114 Thozupedu (Km 67/9 to Km 104/0) in the State of Tamilnadu ;

Any person interested in the land, proposed for acquisition under this notification may, within twenty one days from the date of publication of this notification, raise objection on the use of the land for the aforesaid purpose ; under sub-section (1) of secticn 3C or the said Act;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority as authorised vide Notification No. S.O. 141(E) dated the 4th March, 1999, in writing, and shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector the opportunity of being heard either in person or through legal practitioner and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further inquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections ;

The land plans and other details of lands covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the Interested person at the office of the competent authority i.e. The District Revenue Officbr, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu,

S.O. U07(E).— In pursuance of Clause (aj of Section 3 of the National Highways Act. 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises Shri M.K.Verma, Manager, National Highways Authority of India , National Highways Authority of India Complex, Kandra Inspection Bungalow, Post Office : Gobindpur, District : Dhanbad, State of Jharkhand, as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the lands required for four laning of the stretch from Km320.000 to Km.398.750 on National Highway-2 from Gorhar to Barwa-Adda (for widening and improvement of existing National Highway) in the State of Jharkhand and situated in the area as specified in the Schedule given below, till further orders.
