MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 3rd December, 2001

s.o.ii87(E).— Whereas in exercise of the pc/wers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act,1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. No. 761(E), 762(E), dated the 7th August, 2001, S.O.No 899(E), dated the 19th September, 2001 and S.O. No. 976(E), 977(E), dated the 29th September, 2001, declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedule appended to that Notification for the public purpose of four-laning of National Highway No. 5 from Km.60/400 to Km. 233/000 (Visakhapatnam - Bhubaneswar Section) in Srikakulam District, in the State of Andhra Pradesh;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, has submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), read with sub-section (2), of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declared that the lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto are acquired for the aforesaid purpose, and that the said lands shall vest absolutely with the Central Government free from all encumbrances.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 3rd December, 2001

s.o.ii88(E).— Whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act,1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S O. No.740(E), dated the 1st August, 2001, S.O. No.929(E), dated the 20th September, 2001 and 1077(E), dated the 1st November 2001, declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedule appended to that Notification for the public purpose of four-laning of National Highway No. 5 from Km. 2.800 to Km. 29.000 (Visahkapatnam to Bhubaneswar section) in the District Visahkapatnam, in the State of Andhra Pradesh;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, has submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1), read with sub-section (2), of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declared that the lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto are acquired for the aforesaid purpose, and that the said lands shall vest absolutely with the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
