का.आ. 1241 ( अ ) दिल्ली विकास अधिनियम, 1957 के खण्ड 56 के अन्तर्गत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए एकीकृत भवन उपनियम, 1983 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन/उपान्तरण किए जाते हैं ।
यतः इस बारे में भवन उप- नियम 1983 में केन्द्र सरकार का निम्नलिखित जिन उपांतरणों /परिवर्द्धनों का प्रस्ताव है उन्हें दिनांक 21 जून, 2001 की सार्वजनिक सूचना द्वारा सार्वजनिक सूचना के लिए प्रकाशित किया गया था और भारत के राजपत्र असाधारण में प्रकाशित किया गया था । जनता से कोई आपत्ति/सुझाव प्राप्त नहीं हुआ। यतः रिपोर्ट पर व्यापक रूप से विचार करने के पश्चात् केन्द्र सरकार ने भवन उपनियम, 1983 में निम्नलिखित उपांतरण/संशोधन करने का निर्णय लिया है ।
अतः अब दिल्ली विकास अधिनियम, 1957 की धारा 11 - क के उपखण्ड ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार एतदद्वारा भारत के राजपत्र में इस अधिसूचना के प्रकाशन की तारीख से भवन उपनियमों, 1983 में निम्नलिखित उपांतरण/परिवर्द्धन करती है ।
उपान्तरण :
दिल्लीमें समूह आवास समितियों के लिए बालकनी की चौड़ाई 3 फुट से बढ़ाकर 4 फुट करना अनुमत्य है ।

NOTIFICATION
NewDelhi , the 19th December, 2001 S.O. 1241 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 56 of Delhi Development Act , 1957 , the following amendments/ modifications are made in Unified Building Bye- laws , 1983.
Whereas the following modifications/additions which the Central Government proposedto make in the Building Bye-laws , 1983 in this regard were published for public information vide Public Notice dated 21 June , 2001 and was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary. No objection/ suggestion was received from the public.
Whereas after thorough consideration of the report , Central Government has decided to make the following modifications/additions in the Building Byc -laws, 1983 .
Now, therefore, in exercise ofthe powers conferredby sub-section (2 ) of Section 11A of Delhi Development Act , 1957, the Central Government hereby makes the following modifications/additions to the Building Bye - laws , 1983 with effect from the date of publication of this Notification in the Gazette of India.
MODIFICATIONS :
Itisagreed to increase the width ofbalcony from 3 ft . to4ft . for Group Housing Societies in Delhi .
