G.S.R. 920 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 (52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do . hereby makes thefollowing further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance ( Department of Revenue ), No. 39/ 96 -Customs , dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-
सा.का.नि. 920( अ ) -केन्द्रीय सरकार, सीमाशुल्क अधिनियम, 1962( 1962 का 52 ) की धारा 25 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों काप्रयोग करते हुए, यह समाधान हो जाने पर कि ऐसा करना लोकहित में आवश्यक है यह निदेश देती है कि भारत सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय (राजस्व विभाग ) की अधिसूचना सं. 39/96- सीमाशुल्क, तारीख 23 जुलाई, 1996 में निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है अर्थात्: -
उक्त अधिसूचनाके उपाबंध सारणी में, क्रम सं. 14 में, स्तंभ (3) में, स्पष्टीकरण में , " 1 जनवरी, 2002 " शब्दों और अंकों के स्थान पर " 1 जनवरी, 2006 " शब्द और अंक रखे जायेंगे ।
In the Table annexed to said notification, against S. No. 14 , in column (3) , in the Explanation , for the words and figures " 1st day of January, 2002 " , the words and figures" 1st day of January, 2006 " shall be substituted.

टिप्पण :-मूल अधिसूचना भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण , भाग II , खंड 3, उपखंड ( i ) , में अधिसूचना सं. 39/96-सीमाशुल्क तारीख 23 जुलाई, 1996 [ सा.का.नि. 291 ( अ ) , तारीख 23 जुलाई, 1996 ] द्वारा प्रकाशित हुई थी, एवं उसका अंतिम संशोधन अधिसूचना सं. 81/2001 - सीमाशुल्क, तारीख 20 जुलाई, 2001 [ सा.का.नि. 546 (अ ) , तारीख 20 जुलाई, 2001 ] द्वारा किया गया था ।
NOTE : The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide notification No. 39 / 96 - Customs , dated the 23rd July, 1996 [G.S.R. 291 (E) , dated the 23rd July, 1996] and was last amended by notification No. 81/2001- Customs, dated the 20th July, 2001 [ G.S.R. 546 (E) . dated the 20th July, 2001 ]
