The powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act,1956 (48 of 1956) the Central Government vide notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number S.O.835(E) dated the 28th August 2001,declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification for the public purpose of building (four-laning) of National Highway No. 60
