S. 0.78(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the Special Land Acquisition Officer, National Highways, K.R. Circle, Public Works Department Office, Bangalore, Karnataka as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authori ty under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of land stretch from Km. 526.50 to Km, 535.00 and Km. 539.00 to Km. 556.00 (Hyderabad-Bangalore Section) of National Highway No. 7 for widening of existing National Highway including construction of bypasses, if any, in the State of Karnataka as specified in the Schedule below, till further orders.
