नई दिल्ली , 1 मार्च, 2002
का.आ. 271 ( अ ) . केन्द्रीय सरकार , लोक भविष्य निधि अधिनियम, 1968 ( 1968 का 23 ) की धारा 5 के अनुसरण में, 1 मार्च, 2002 को या उसके पश्चात् निधि में किए गए अभिदान पर लागू ब्याज की दर अधिसूचित करती है और उस प्रयोजन के लिए भारत सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय ( आर्थिक कार्य विभाग ) की अधिसूचना सं. का. आ. 48 ( अ) , तारीख 15 जनवरी, 2000 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्: - उक्त अधिसूचना में,-
(क ) दूसरे परंतुक में, " 1 मार्च, 2001 को या उसके पश्चात् निधिमें किए गए अभिदान " अंकों और शब्दों के स्थान पर " 1 मार्च, 2001 को या उसके पश्चात् किन्तु 1 मार्च, 2002 के पूर्व निधि में किए गए अभिदान " अंक और शब्द रखे जाएंगे ;
(ख ) दूसरे परंतुक के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित परंतुक अंतःस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्:-
" परंतु यह भी कि 1 मार्च , 2002 को था उसके पश्चात् इस निधि में किए गए अभिदान और अभिदाता के जमाखाते में अतिशेष पर नौ प्रतिशत की दर से ब्याज मिलेगा । " ।

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs ) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 1st March, 2002
S.O. 271 ( E ) .-In pursuance of section 5 of the Public Provident Fund Act, 1968 (23 of 1968 ) , the Central Government hereby notifies the rate of interest applicable on the subscrip- trons made to the Fund on or after the 1st day of March , 2002 and for that purpose makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Fi- nance (Department of Economic Affairs ) number S.O. 48 (E ). dated the 15th January , 2000 , namely :-
In the said notification,-
(a) in the second proviso , tor the words , figures and letters " the 1st day of March, 2001 " , the words , figures and letters "the 1st day of March, 2001 but before the 1st day of March, 2002 " shall be substi- tuted;
(b) after the second proviso , the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :-
"Provided also that the subscriptions made to the Fund on or after the 1st day of March , 2002 and balances at the credit of the subscriber shall bear interest at the rate of nine per cent per annum. " .
