NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th March, 2002
S.0.343(E).—WHEREAS Hie lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallah or the right of users therein, mentioned in the Schedule, are required for the purpose of construction of Metro Railway and other works connected therewith in the city of KOLKATA;
AND WHEREAS the Central Government is satisfied that the said lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallah or the right of users therein, as mentioned in the Schedule, are required for a public .purpose;
The plan of the area, mentioned in the Schedule, bearing drawings number MRC/W/Survey/1- 2001 and MRC/W/Survey/2-2001 may be inspected in the office of the Competent Authority.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act. 1978 (33 of 1978), the Central Government hereby declare its intention to acquire the lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nullah or the right of users therein, as mentioned in the Schedule;
Any person interested in the said lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nullah or the right of users therein, as mentioned in the Schedule may, within twenty one days from the date of publication of the substance of this notification, object to such acquisition. The objections, if any, may be forwarded to the Competent Authority, Metro Railway, 39/1, Rash Behari Avenue (1* Floor). Kolkata - 700 026.
