NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18lh April. 2002

s.o.445(K).— Whereas, by the notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number S.O. 719(E), dated the 27th July, 2001, number 720(E), dated the 27th July, 2001, number S.O. 724(E), dated the 27th July, 2001, sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) the Central Government vide declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedules appended to that notifications for the public purpose of widening of National Highway No. 5 in the stretch from Km.52.800 to Km.237.000 (Madras - Vijayawada Section) in the district of Nellore in the State of Andhra Pradesh;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of sub- section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, has submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon the receipt of the said report and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3D 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto are to be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on the publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
