G.S.fL 314(E).—In pursuance of provisions of sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the MajorPort Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) and in supersession of the Notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Surface Transport (Ports Wing), No. G.S.R. 117(E) dated 14th February, 2000, the Central Government hereby specifies the number of persons mentioned in column (3) of the Table below to be appointed to represent each of the interests shown in column (2) of the said Table on the Board of Trustees of the Port of Chennai.

3. In pursuance of the sub-section (4) of section 3 of the aforesaid Act, the Central Government hereby specifies the p eriod ending with the 20th May, 2002 as the period within which the election of Trustees shall be held.
