MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th July, 2002

s.o.756(E).— whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government vide Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O.No.447 (E) dated the 17th April 2002 declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the schedule appended to that Notification for the public purpose of four-laning of National Highway No.5 from Km.290.400 to Km.359.000 (Vijayawada - Vlsakhapatnam Section) and from Km.2/800 to Km.29/0 (Visakhapatnam - Bubaneswar Section) in the District of Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

And whereas, the Competent Authority In pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, has submitted its report to the Central Government.

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report and in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section(1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central government hereby declares that the land specified in the schedule below should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2), of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declared that the lands specified in the said schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
