Amended by Livestock Importation Amendment Act, 2001 (Act 28 of 2001) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture No. 50-22/77-LDT(AQ)/Pt., 11-8-1999, the Central Government hereby allows with immediate effect the import of equine species of animals in to India.
