सा.का.नि. 546 (अ) .- केन्द्रीय सरकार, वित्त अधिनियम, 1994 (1994का 32 ) की धारा 93 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय , राजस्व विभाग की अधिसूचना संख्या सा.का नि. 205 ( अ ) तारीख 24 अप्रैल, 1998 को अधिक्रांत करते हुए, यह समाधान हो जाने पर कि लोकहित में ऐसा करना आवश्यक है, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 65 में विनिर्दिष्ट सभी कराधेय सेवाओं को, जो किसी व्यक्त द्वारा संयुक्त राष्ट्र या किसी अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन को प्रदान की गई हैं , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 66 के अधीन उद्ग्रहणीय सम्पूर्ण सेवा कर से छूट देती है ।
स्पष्टीकरण: - इस अधिसूचना के प्रयोजनों के लिए " अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन" मे संयुक्त राष्ट्र ( विशेषाधिकार और उन्मुक्तियां ) अधिनियम, 1947 ( 1947 का 46 ) की धारा 3 के अनुसरण में केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा घोषित ऐसा अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन अभिप्रेत है जिसको उक्त अधिनियम की अनुसूची के उपबंध लागू होते हैं ।

G.S.R. 546( E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 93 of the Finance Act , 1994 ( 32 of 1994) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India inthe Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue , vide G.SR 205 (E) , dated 24th April , 1998, the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts all the taxable services specified in Section 65 of the said Act provided by any person , to the United Nations or an International Organisation , from whole of the service tax leviable under Section 66 of the said Act
Explanation: For the purposes of this notification, " International Organization " means an international organisation declared by the Central Government in pursuance of Section 3 of the United Nations ( Privileges and Immunities) Act , 1947 (46 of 1947) , to which the provisions of the Schedule to the said Act apply.
