The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 12th August, 2002, and is hereby published for general information:-
THE DELHI UNIVERSITY ( AMENDMENT) ACT, 2002
No. 43 OF 2002
[12th August , 2002. ] AnAct further to amend the Delhi University Act , 1922 .
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty - third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short titre 1. This Aci may be called the Delhi University ( Amendment) Act , 2002 ,
2. In section 5 of the Delhi University Act , 1922, in sub - section (2) , after the proviso , the following proviso shall be inserted , namely:-
Amendment of section 5' ofAct 8 of 1922.
"Provided further that provisions of this sub - section shall not apply in the case of any educational institution affiliated to the Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya incorporated under the Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya Act, 1998. " .
