NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th August, 2002
G.S.R. 572(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 9 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Second Schedule to the said Act, namely :—
1. In the said Schedule, for item 11 and the entries relating thereto, the following items and entries shall be substituted, namely:—
"11. COAL:
A. Coal produced in all States and Union territories except the State of West Bengal.
(i) Group I Coals:
(a) Coking Coal

Steel Gradc-II

Explanation
For the purpose of this item, the specification of each grade of Ihc coal shall be as prescribed under clause 3 of the Colliery Control Order, 2000".
