New Delhi, the 16th August, 2002
S.O.877 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, ] 952 (74 of 1952) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce number S.O. 639 dated the l0th February, 1969 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, in consultation with the Forward Markets Commission, hereby exempts all non-transferable specific delivery contracts in Indian cotton (full pressed, hall pressed or loose) from the operation of Section 15 read with Sub- section (3) of Section 18 of the said Act, in the whole of India entered on or after thirty days from the date of publication of (his notification

S.0.878 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act 1952 (74 of 1952), ar.d in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Commerce numbers S.^). 332 dated the 27* January, 1966 and SO. 353 dated the 27* January, 1966, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, in consultation with the Forward Markets Commis- sion, hereby exempts all non-transferable specific delivery contracts in raw jute (including mesta) and jute goods (hessian ajid sacking cloth or bags or both, twines or yams or both, manufactured by any of the mills or any other manufactures of whatever nature made from jute) from the operation of Section 15 read with Sub-section (3) of Section 18of the said Act, in the whole oflndia entered on or after thirty days from the date of publication of this notification.

S.O. 879(E).—Whereas forward contracts for sale and purchase of the commodities specified in the Schedule annexed herewith have been banned by the Central Government, in the whole of India or part thereof, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 17 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952) vide notification mentioned in the said Schedule, issued by the Central Government from time to time.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, and in supersession of the notifications, mentioned in the said Schedule, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, in-consultation with the Forward Markets Commission and in the interest of trade, hereby exempts all commodities, specified in the Schedule from the operation of Section 17, in the whole of India or part thereof with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

S,O. 880(E).—Whereas forward contracts for sale and purchase of the commodities, specified in the Schedule annexed herewith, have been banned by the Central Government, in the whole of India or part thereof, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section ] 7 read with Sub-section (3) of Section 18 of the Forward Contracts-(Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952) vide notifications, mentioned in the said Schedule, issued by the Central Government from time to time.
Now, therefore, in cxerciscof the powers conferred by Section 27 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, and in supersession of the notifications, mentioned in the said Schedule, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government, in consultation with the Forward Markets Commission and in the interest of trade, hereby exempts all commodities, specified in the Schedule, from the operation of Section 17 read with Sub- section (3) of Section 18 in the whole of India, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
