The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 6th January, 2003 and is hereby published for general information:-
THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ( SECOND
AMENDMENT ) ACT, 2002
No. 6 OF 2003
[6th January, 2003. ]
An Act further to amend the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty -third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title .
1. This Act may be called the Representation of the People (Second Amendment) Act, 2002.
2. In the Fourth Schedule to the Representation of the People Act, 1950, for the heading "BIHAR " and the entries relating thereto , the following shall be substituted , namely:--
Amendment of Fourth Schedule to Act43 of 1950 .
"BIHAR
1. Nagar Parishads .
2. Cantonment Boards .
3. Nagar Panchayats .
