सा.का.नि. 80( अ ).- भारत के माननीय प्रधान मंत्री ने 15 अगस्त, 2002 को स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर अपने भाषण में यह घोषणा की थी कि " संस्कृति विभाग , विभिन्न प्रकार की सामग्रियों में विहित भारतीय भाषाओं में वैज्ञानिक, बौद्धिक, साहित्यिक तथा आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान के अमूल्य खजाने का परिरक्षण तथा प्रदर्शन करने के लिए एक राष्ट्रीय पांडुलिपि मिशन शुरू करेगा । अन्य कार्यों के साथ- साथ, यह मिशन , एक राष्ट्रीय पांडुलिपि पुस्तकालय की स्थापना करेगा और पुस्तक के रूप में प्रकाशन तथा साथ ही मशीन के माध्यम से पठनीय रूप के माध्यम से प्रकाशित करके इन पांडुलिपियों की तत्काल सुलभता बढ़ाएगा । "
11. उपर्युक्त कार्य की अनुवर्ती कार्रवाई के रूप में आम सूचना के लिए यह अधिसूचित किया जाता है कि पर्यटन और संस्कृति मंत्रालय , संस्कृति विभाग में भारत सरकार ने वार्षिक कार्य योजना , बजट और राष्ट्रीय पाण्डुलिपि मिशन के अनेक कार्यकलापों के सूक्ष्म ब्यौरे तैयार करने के लिए एक कार्यकारी कार्यकारी समिति का गठन किया है । इस कार्यकारी समिति का संघठन निम्नलिखित होगा: -

111. गैर- सरकारी सदस्यों का कार्यकाल दो वर्ष का होगा । तथापि , सरकार, उक्त कार्यकाल पूरा होने से पहले , बिना कोई कारण दिए किसी भी सदस्य की सदस्यता समाप्त कर सकती है या उचित समझने पर कार्यकारी समिति का पुनर्गठन कर सकती है ।
۱۷ कार्यकारी समिति, ऐसे किसी भी समय जब अध्यक्ष आवश्यक समझे , अपनी बैठक करेगी ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 5th February , 2003
G.S.R. 80 (E). In his Independence Day Speech on August 15th 2002, the Prime Minister of India announced that "The Ministry of Culture will launch a National Mission for Manuscripts to preserve and unlock the precious treasure house of scientific , intellectual, literary and spiritual knowledge in different Indian languages , contained in different kinds ofmaterial . Among other things , the Mission will set up a National Manuscripts Library and promote ready access to these manuscripts through publication in book form as well as in machine readable form. "
II . As a follow up to the above it is notified for general information that the Government of India in the Ministry of Tourism & Culture , Department of Culture have constituted an Executive Committee to facilitate preparation of annual action plans , budget and to work out the micro - details of various activities of the National Manuscripts Mission. The composition of this Executive Committee will be as under-
