का.आ. 149( अ ).- केन्द्रीय सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग अधिनियम, 1956 (1956 का 48 ) ( जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त अधिनियम कहा गया है) की धारा उक की उप - धारा (1 ) के अधीन भारत के राजपत्र असाधारण , भाग 2, खण्ड 3, उपखण्ड ( II ) में प्रकाशित भारत सरकार के सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्या का०आ० 426 (अ) तारीख 15 अप्रैल , 2002 द्वारा तमिलनाडु राज्य के कांचीपुरम जिले में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या -4 (27/600 कि.मी. से 86/450 कि.मी. तक ) पर चेन्नई रानीपेट खण्ड को चार लेन का बनाने के लोक प्रयोजन के लिए उस अधिसूचना से उपाबद्ध अनुसूची में विनिर्दिष्ट भूमि का अर्जन करने के अपने आशय की घोषणा की थी;
और सक्षम प्राधिकारी ने उक्त अधिनियम की धारा उघ की उप- धारा (1 ) के अनुसरण में केन्द्रीय सरकार को अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत कर दी है;
अतः , अब, केन्द्रीय सरकार, सक्षम प्राधिकारी की उक्त रिपोर्ट प्राप्त हो जाने पर और उक्त अधिनियम की धारा उघ की उप धारा (1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , यह घोषणा करती है कि इससे उपाबद्ध अनुसूची में विनिर्दिष्ट भूमि का पूर्वोक्त प्रयोजन के लिए अर्जिन किया जाना चाहिए ;
और, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा उघ की उप धारा (2) के अनुसरण में, इससे उपाबद्ध अनुसूची में विनिर्दिष्ट भूमि, राजपत्र में इस अधिसूचना के प्रकाशन पर, सभी विल्लंगमों से मुक्त आत्यन्तिक रूप से केन्द्रीय सरकार में निहित होगी ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 10th February, 2003
S.O. 149 (E). WHEREAS by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, No. S.O. 426 (E ) , dated the 15th April 2002, published in the Gazette ofIndia, Extraordinary , Part II , Section 3 , Sub-section ( ii ) , issued under sub -section ( 1 ) of section 3A of the National Highways Act , 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) , the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the lands for public purpose specified in the Schedule appended to that notification for the purpose of four- laning of National Highway No.4 (Km 27/600 to Km 86/450) Chennai- Ranipet Section in Kanchipuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu;
AND WHEREAS , competent authority in pursuance of sub-section ( 1 ) of section 3D of the said Act , has submitted its report to the Central Government ;
NOW, therefore , upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority , and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section ( 1 ) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose ;
And, further in pursuance of sub- section (2) of section 3D of the said Act , the Central Government hereby declares that on the publication of this notification in the Official Gazette , the lands specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all . encumbrances .
