NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 30th December, 2003 S.O. 1483 (E) .- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5 ) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Pension ) Rules , 1972 , namely : - 1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Pension ) Second Amendment Rules , 2003 . (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2004.
2. In rule 2 of the Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 1972, for the words " these rules shall apply to Government servants" , the words , figures and letters " these rules shall apply to Government servant appointed on or before the 31st day of December , 2003 " shall be substituted.

का. आ. 1484 ( अ ).-राष्ट्रपति, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 148 के खंड ( 5 ) के साथ पठित अनुच्छेद 309 के परन्तुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारतीय लेखा परीक्षा और लेखा विभाग में सेवा कर रहे व्यक्तियों के संबंध में भारत के नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक से परामर्श करने के पश्चात् केन्द्रीय सिविल सेवा (पेंशन सारांशीकरण ) नियम, 1981 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाते हैं, अर्थात:-
1. (i ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम केंद्रीय सिविल सेवा ( पेंशन) संशोधन नियम , 2003 है ।
(ii ) ये 1 जनवरी , 2004 से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।

S.O. 1485 (E) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving inthe Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the General Provident Fund (Central Services) Rules, 1960, namely: -

(1) These rules may be called the General Provident Fund(Central Services ) Second Amendment Rules , 2003.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January,2004.
2. In the General Provident Fund (Central Services) Rules, 1960, in rule 4 , before the Explanation, the following shall be inserted, namely: -
का. आ. 1485( अ ).- राष्ट्रपति, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 148 के खंड ( 5 ) के साथ पठित अनुच्छेद 309 के परन्तुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारतीय लेखा परीक्षा और लेखा विभाग में सेवा कर रहे व्यक्तियों के संबंध में भारत के नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक से परामर्श करने के पश्चात् सामान्य भविष्य निधि (केन्द्रीय सेवा) नियम , 1960 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाते हैं, अर्थात्: -
"Provided also that nothing contained in these rules shall apply to Government servant appointed on or after the 1st day of January, 2004. " .

2. सामान्य भविष्य निधि ( केन्द्रीय सेवा ) नियम , 1960 के नियम 4 में स्पष्टीकरण से पूर्व निम्नलिखित अन्तः स्थापित किया जायेगा , अर्थात्: -

New Delhi , the 30th December, 2003 S.O. 1486 (E ) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Contributory Provident Fund Rules ( India) , 1962 , namely:-
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Contributory Provident Fund ( India) Amendment Rules , 2003 .
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2004.
2. In the Contributory Provident Fund Rules (India) , 1962, in rule 4, in sub- rule ( 1 ) , before the Note , the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: -
"Provided also that nothing contained in these rules shall apply to Government servant appointed on or after the 1st day of January, 2004. " .

2. केन्द्रीय सिविल सेवा ( असाधारण पेंशन ) नियम, 1939 के नियम 2 में टिप्पण से पूर्व निम्नलिखित अन्तः स्थापित किया जायेगा, अर्थात्:-
