का.आ. 1488 ( अ) .- राष्ट्रपति , संविधान के अनुच्छेद 309 के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, रेल सेवा ( पेंशन ) नियम, 1993 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाते हैं, अर्थात्:-
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम रेल सेवा ( पेंशन ) संशोधन नियम, 2003 है ।
( 2) ये 1 जनवरी, 2004 को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. रेल सेवा ( पेंशन ) नियम , 1993 , के नियम 2 के अंत में निम्नलिखित परंतुक अंतस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्:-
" परंतु इन नियमों में अंतर्विष्ट कोई बात 1 जनवरी , 2004 को या उसके पश्चात् नियुक्त होने वाले रेल सेवकों को लागू नहीं होगी। "

S.O. 1488 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Services (Pension) Rules, 1993 , namely :-

1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Railway Services (Pension) Amendment Rules , 2003 .
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2004.
namely 2. In the Railway Services (Pension ) Rules , 1993 , in rule 2, the following proviso shall be inserted at the end, "Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall apply to railway servants appointed on or after the , 1st day of January, 2004. "

1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम रेल सेवा ( पेंशन संराशीकरण) संशोधन नियम , 2003 है ।
(2) ये 1 जनवरी , 2004 को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. रेल सेवा ( पेंशन संराशीकरण ) नियम, 1993 , के नियम 2 में " ये नियम ऐसे रेल सेवकों को लागू होंगे " शब्दों के स्थान पर " ये नियम ऐसे रेल सेवकों को लागू होंगे जो 31 दिसम्बर, 2003 को या उससे पहले नियुक्त हुए हैं और " शब्द और अंक रखे जाएंगे ।

1. (1) These rules may be called the Railway Services (Commutation of Pension) Amendment Rules, 2003.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2004 .
2. In the Railway Services (Commutation ofPension ) Rules, 1993, in rule 2, for the words " These rules shall apply to railway servants " , the words , figures and letters " These rules shall apply to railway servants appointed on or before the 31st day of December , 2003 and " shall be substituted.
