सा.का.नि. 974( अ) केन्द्रीय सरकार , सीमाशुल्क अधिनियम, 1962 ( 1962का 52 ) की धारा 25 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, यह समाधान हो जाने पर कि लोकहित में ऐसा करना आवश्यक है, भारत सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय ( राजस्व विभाग ) की अधिसूचना सं. 26/ 95- सीमाशुल्क , तारीख 16मार्च, 1995 का, निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्:-
उक्त अधिसूचना में, आरंभिक पैरा में, खंड ( क ) में शब्दों " बंगलादेश, कोरिया गणराज्य या श्रीलंका " के स्थान पर शब्द " बंगलादेश, चीन जनवादी गणराज्य, कोरिया गणराज्य या श्रीलंका " प्रतिस्थापित किये जायेंगे ।
2. यह अधिसूचना 1 जनवरी , 2004 को प्रवृत्त होगी ।

G.S.R. 974(E). In exercise ofthe powers conferred by sub-section (1 ) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interést so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification ofthe Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department ofRevenue) No. 26/95 -Customs , dated the 16th March, 1995, namely:-
Inthe said notification, in the opening paragraph, in clause(a), for the words " Bangladesh, Republic of Korea or Sri Lanka" , the words "Bangladesh, People's Republic of China, Republic ofKorea or Sri Lanka " shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st . day of January, 2004.

Note. The principal notification No. 26/95 -Customs dated the 16thMarch, 1995, was published in the Gazette ofIndia, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3 , Sub- section ( i) vide G.S.R. 155 (E) dated the 16thMarch, 1995 and was last amended by notification No. 28/2003-Customs dated the 1st March, 2003 [G.S.R. 163(E) dated the Ist March, 2003 ] .
