NewDelhi , the 15th January, 2004 का.आ. 70( अ )-केन्द्रीय सरकार, पेट्रोलियम नियम, 2002 (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त नियम कहा गया है ) के नियम 201 के अनुसरण में मुख्य नियंत्रक की सिफारिश पर और लोकहित में पेट्रोलियम के आयात कीआवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए, भारत में निम्नलिखित पत्तनों पर राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से एक वर्ष की अवधिके लिए, समुद्र द्वारा पेट्रोलियम के आयात की बाबत उक्त नियमों के नियम 16 के उपनियम ( 1 ) के उपबंधों से छूट प्रदान करती है , अर्थात्:-
S.O. 70 (E) . Inpursuance of rule 201 ofthe Petroluem Rules, 2002, (hereinafter referred to as said rules), the Central Government, on the recommendation of the ChiefController and in consideration of the necessity to import petroleum in public interest , hereby grants exemption from the provisions of sub -rule (1 ) of the rule 16 of the said rules in respect of import of petroleum into India by sea at the following ports for a period of one year from the date of publication in the Official Gazette namely :---
