का.आ. 89( अ ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, परिसीमन अधिनियम , 2002 ( 2002 का 33 ) की धारा 3 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारत सरकार के विधि और न्याय मंत्रालय (विधायी विभाग ) की अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 741 ( अ) , तारीख 12 जुलाई, 2002 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्: -
उक्त अधिसूचना के पैरा ( 1 ) में, खंड ( iii ) के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा, अर्थात्:-
सदस्य (पदेन ) " " ( iii ) किसी राज्य ( मेघालय, मिज़ोरम और नागालैंड राज्यों से भिन्न ) या संघ राज्यक्षेत्र से संबंधित परिसीमन आयोग के कर्तव्यों के संबंध में, यथास्थिति, उस राज्य या संघ राज्यक्षेत्र के लिए संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243 ट के खंड ( 1 ) या अनुच्छेद 243ठ के खंड ( 1 ) के अधीन नियुक्त राज्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त; और यथास्थिति, मेघालय राज्य या मिज़ोरम राज्य या नागालैंड राज्य से संबंधित परिसीमन आयोग के कर्त्तव्यों के संबंध में ऐसे प्रयोजनों के लिए उस राज्य के राज्यपाल द्वारा नामनिर्देशित कोई व्यक्ति ।

NOTIFICATION
NewDelhi , the 16th January, 2004
S.O. 89(E) . In exercise ofthe powers conferred by section 3 of the Delimitation-Act, 2002 (33 of2002) , the Central Government hereby makesthe following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department) number S.O. 741 (E) , dated the 12th July, 2002, namely:-
In the said notification, in paragraph (1 ) , for clause (iii ) , the following shall be substituted, namely :
"(iii)
Member(ex officio) " .
In respect of the duties of the Delimitation Commission relating to a State ( other than the States of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland) or Union territory, the State Election Commissioner appointed under clause ( 1) of article 243K or under clause (1) of article 243 L of the Constitution, for that State or Union territory, as the case may be ; and in respect of the duties of Delimitation Commission relating to the State of Meghalaya or the State ofMizoram or the State of Nagaland, as the case may be, a person nominated by the Governor of that State for such purposes .
