नई दिल्ली, 28 जनवरी, 2004
का.आ. 126( अ.) -पशुधन आयात अधिनियम, 1898 ( 1898 का 9 ) के खंड-3 के उपखंड ( 1 ) और खंड ३ ए के द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत सरकार, कृषि मंत्रालय ( पशुपालन और डेयरी विभाग ) की दिनांक 19 जून, 2003 की सं. का.आ. 721( अ) . अधिसूचना के अधिक्रमण में, सिवाय उन बातों के जिन्हें ऐसे अधिक्रमण से पहले किया गया है , या करने का लोप किया गया है , केन्द्र सरकार एतद्वारा कोरियां गणतंत्र, वियतनाम, थाइलैंड, कम्बोडिया, पाकिस्तान एवं जापान तथा ऐसे किसी अन्य देश से जहां से हाइली पैथोजेनिक एवियन एंफ्लूएंजा ( फाउल प्लेग ) के प्रकोप की सूचना प्राप्त हुई है, भारत में निम्नलिखित पशुधन तथा पशुधन उत्पादों के आयात को प्रतिबंधित करती है, नामतः (i) घरेलूऔर जंगली पक्षी
( ii ) एक दिन के पक्षी
(iii) टर्की कुक्कुट एवं अन्य नवजात चूजा प्रजातियां
(iv) हैचिंग अंडे
(v ) घरेलूऔर जंगली पक्षियों के वीर्य
(vi ) घरेलू और जंगली पक्षियों का ताजा मीट
(vii ) पशु आहार में उपयोग के लिए या कृषि या औद्योगिक उपयोग के लिए निर्मित पशुमूल ( पक्षियों के ) उत्पाद
(viii) हाइली पैथोजेनिक एवियन एंफ्लूएंजा वायरस ( फाउल प्लेग ) के विनाश को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उन पक्षियों की पैथोलोजिकल सामग्री तथा बायोलॉजिकल उत्पाद जिन्हें प्रसंस्कृत नहीं किया गया है ।
2. यह प्रतिबंध इस अधिसूचना के प्रकाशन की तारीख से छः माह की अवधि तक या ऐसे समय में संशोधन अथवा वापसी तक जो भी पहले हो, लागू रहेगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 28th January , 2004
S.O. 126(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (1 ) of Section 3 and Section 3A of the Livestock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898) , and in supersession of the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry ofAgiculture (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) number S.O. 721 (E) dated 19th June, 2003 , except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession the Central Government hereby prohibits , with effect fromdate ofpublication of this notification, import into India from Republic ofKorea, Vietnam, Thailand, Combodia, Pakistan and Japan and such other countries reporting the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Fowl Plague), the following livestock and livestock products , namely:
(1) domestic and wild birds ,
(ii) day old birds ,
(iii) turkey poultry and other newly hatched avian species ,
( iv) hatching eggs ,
(v) semen of domestic and wildbirds ,
(vi) fresh meat of domestic and wildbirds,
(vii ) products of animal origin (from birds) intended for use in animal feeding or for agricultural or industrial use , (viii) pathological material and biological products from birds which have not been processed to ensure the destruction ofthe Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza virus (Fowl Plague) .
2. The prohibition shall be in force for a period of six months from the date of publication of this notification or till such time it is modified or withdrawn , whichever is earlier .
