सा.का.नि. 201 (अ) . सीमा शुल्क अधिनियम , 1962 ( 1962 का 52 ) की धारा 13 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार के इस बात पर संतुष्ट होने पर कि पर्यावरण ( संरक्षण ) अधिनियम , 1986 ( 1986 का 29 ) और इसके अधीन बनाए गए नियमों के अन्तर्गत उपबंधित मानव, पशु, पेड़- पौधों के जीवन एवं स्वास्थ्य को अन्यथा बचाने के प्रयोजनार्थ ऐसा करना आवश्यक है, पर्यावरण ( संरक्षण) अधिनियम, 1986 (1986 का 29 ) के अंतर्गत जारी खतरनाक कचरे ( प्रबंधन और निपटान ) नियमावली, 1989 की अनुसूची-8 में यथाविनिर्दिष्ट खतरनाक कचरे को इसके भारत में आयात और इसके भारत से बाहर निर्यात को एतद्वारा निषिद्ध करती है ।

G.S.R. 201 (E) .- In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - section (1 ) of Section 11 of the Customs Act , 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary so to do for the purpose of the protection of human, animal , plant, life and health , hereby prohibits, save otherwise provided under the Environment (Protection ) Act, 1986 (29 of1986) and the rules made thereunder, hazardous wastes as specified in Schedule - 8 of the Hazardous Wastes (Manage- ment andHandling) Rules, 1989, issued under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), from import thereof into India and from export thereof out of India.
