का.आ. 427 (अ) . -केन्द्रीय सरकार, नाशक कीट और नाशक जीव अधिनियम, 1914 ( 1914 का 2 ) की धारा 3 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, पादप करंतीन ( भारत में आयात का विनियमन ) आदेश, 2003 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित आदेश करती है , अर्थात्:
1. ( 1 ) इस आदेश का संक्षिप्त नाम पादप करंतीन ( भारत में आयात का विनियमन ) ( संशोधन ) आदेश, 2004 है ।
( 2) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होगा ।
2. पादप करंतीन ( भारत में आयात का विनियमन ) आदेश, 2003 के खण्ड I के उपखण्ड ( 2 ) में 1 अप्रैल, 2004 " अंकों, अक्षरों और शब्दों के स्थान पर " 1 जून, 2004 " अंक, अक्षर और शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 29th March, 2004
S.O. 427 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- section ( 1 ) of Section 3 of the Destructive Insects and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Plant Quarantine 1079 GI/ 2004
(1) [PART II-SEC. 3 (ii) ] THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY

(Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 , namely:--
1. (1 ) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) ( Second Amendment ) Order, 2004.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2.In caluse 1 ofthe Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 , in sub-clause (2), for the figures, letters and words " 1st day of April , 2004", the figures, letters and words " Ist day of June , 2004" shall be substituted.

Note : The Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 was published in the Gazette of India vide S.O. 1322 (E) , dated 18th November, 2003 and subsequently amended vide S.O. 167 (E ), dated 6th February, 2004.
