सा.का.नि. 810 (अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार का यह समाधान हो गया है कि रोफिकोक्सिब युक्त ओषधि विनिर्मिति के उपयोग से मानव जीवन के लिए कतिपय जोखिम अंतर्ग्रस्त होने की संभावना है ।
G.S.R. 810(E) .-Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that use of drug formulations containing Rofecoxib are likely to involve certain risk to human beings.
और ओषधि का सुरक्षित अनुकल्प उपलब्ध है;
And whereas safer alternative to the drug are available;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार का यह समाधान हो गया है कि लोकहित में इस ओषधिके विनिर्माण, विक्रय और वितरण को प्रतिषिद्ध करना आवश्यक और समीचीन है ।
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that it is necessary and expedient to prohibit the manu- facture , sale and distribution of this drug in public interest.
अतः , अब, केन्द्रीय सरकार, ओषधि और प्रसाधन सामग्री अधिनियम, 1940 ( 1940 का 23 ) की धारा 26 - क द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों काप्रयोग करते हुए, तुरन्त प्रभाव से निम्नलिखित ओषधिके विनिर्माण, विक्रय और वितरण को प्रतिषिद्ध करती है, अर्थात्:-
Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 26-A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), the Central Government hereby prohibits the manufacture, sale and distribution of the following drug, with immediate effect, namely:
" मानव उपयोग के लिए रोफिकोक्सिब और उसकी विनिर्मितियां" ।
"Rofecoxib and its formulations for human use" .
