सा.का.नि. 4(अ).- पेट्रोलियम अधिनियम, 1934 ( 1934 का 30 ) के खण्ड 4 ( ज ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार पेट्रोलियम नियमावली, 2002 में संशोधन करने के लिए एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है नामतः:-
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों को पेट्रोलियम ( संशोधन ) नियम , 2004 कहा जाएगा ।
(2 ) वे सरकारी राजपत्र में अपने प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. पेट्रोलियम नियमावली , 2002 में नियम 154 में उप- नियम ( 3 ) के बाद निम्नलिखित उप - नियम अंतःस्थापित किया जाएगा नामतः:-
" (4 ) अपीलीय प्राधिकारी , अपील प्राप्त होने के 60 दिन के भीतर अपील का निपटान करेंगे । "

ए. के. श्रीवास्तव, संयुक्त सचिव टिप्पणी : पेट्रोलियम नियमावली, 2002 को भारत के असाधारण राजपत्र में दिनांक 13 मार्च, 2002 के सं. सा.का.नि. 204 ( अ ) के द्वारा प्रकाशित किया गया था और इसे बाद में भारत के असाधारण राजपत्र में दिनांक 25 नवम्बर, 2002 के सं. सा.का.नि. 784 (अ ) के द्वारा संशोधित किया गया था ।

NOTIFICATION
NewDelhi , the 4th January, 2005
G.S.R. 4 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4(h ) of the Petroleum Act , 1934 (30 of 1934) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Petroleum Rules , 2002 namely:-
1. (1) These Rules may be called the Petroleum (Amendment) Rules , 2004 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. In the Petroleum Rules , 2002, in rule 154 , after sub -rule (3 ) , the following sub - rule shall be inserted , namely :-
"(4) The Appellate Authority shall dispose of the appeal within 60 days of the receipt of the appeal ."
