का.आ. 40( अ ).-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 67 के अनुसरण में, निम्नलिखित घोषणा , जिसमें उस अभ्यर्थी का नाम अंतर्विष्ट है, जो राज्य सभा में रिक्त स्थान को भरने के लिए निर्वाचित हुआ है, सर्वसाधारण की जानकारी के लिए प्रकाशित की जाती है:-

केरल विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों द्वारा राज्य सभा के लिए उप-निर्वाचन ।
निर्वाचनों का संचालन नियम , 1961 के नियम 84 के उप - नियम ( 1 ) के खंड ( क) के साथ पठित, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 66 में अंतर्विष्ट उपबंधों के अनुसरण में, मैं घोषणा करता हूं कि-
प्रोफेसर पी. जे. कुरियन, पल्लथु, पडुथोडु डा. घ. , वेणिकुलम जो भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस द्वारा प्रायोजित किए गए थे
उस सदन में उस सदस्य के स्थान को भरने के लिए, जिसकी 27 अक्तूबर, 2004 को मृत्यु हो गई थी, सम्यक् रूप से निर्वाचित हो गए हैं । स्थान: तिरुअनंतपुरम
