The National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). The land for public purpose of Madurai-Kanyakumari Section of National highway No. 7 including the bypass (from km 120 to km 224) in the District of Tirunelveli, in the State of Tamil Nadu hereby declares its intention to acquire the said land.
