The National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers as the competent authorities to perfom the functions of the stretch of the land of Districts, Tehsils and Villages for building (widening), including construction of bypass and realignments, if any, of National Highway No. 7, in the State of Maharashtra.
