का.आ. 166(अ) . केन्द्रीय सरकार ने, अन्तर्राज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम , 1956 ( 1956 का 33 ) की धारा 14 की उपधारा ( 1 ) और उपधारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, पंजाब व्यवस्थापन के पैरा 9.1 और 9.2 में निर्दिष्ट विषयों के सत्यापन और न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए, भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना सं. का. आ. 169 ( अ ) तारीख 2 अप्रैल, 1986 द्वारा रावी और ब्यास जल अधिकरण का गठन किया था;
और उक्त अधिकरण ने केन्द्रीय सरकार को 30 जनवरी , 1987 को अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की थी ;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उपधारा ( 3 ) के निबंधनों के अनुसार स्पष्टीकरण और मार्गदर्शन के लिए 19 अगस्त, 1987 को अधिकरण को आगे निर्देश किया था;
और उक्त अधिकरण से, स्पष्टीकरण या मार्गदर्शन के लिए, अपनी आगे ऐसी रिपोर्ट भेजने की अपेक्षा है , जो वह, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उपधारा ( 3 ) के निबंधनों के अनुसार उपयुक्त समझे;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने , अधिसूचना सं . का.आ. 905 ( अ ) तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2003 द्वारा उक्त अवधि को बढ़ा दिया था जिसके भीतर अधिकरण अपनी आगे रिपोर्ट उस सरकार को 5 अगस्त, 2004 तक भेज सकेगा;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने, अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 889 ( अ ) तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2004 द्वारा उक्त अवधि को बढ़ा दिया था जिसके भीतर अधिकरण अपनी आगे रिपोर्ट उस सरकार को 5 फरवरी , 2005 तक भेज सकेगा;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार उक्त अवधि को 5 अगस्त, 2005 तक बढ़ाना आवश्यक समझती है;
अतः , अब, केन्द्रीय सरकार, अन्तर्राज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम , 1956 ( 1956 का 33 ) की धारा 5 की उपधारा ( 3 ) के परन्तुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, उक्त अधिसूचना सख्यांक का.आ. 905 ( अ ) तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2003 में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्:- उक्त अधिसूचना में, अन्तिम पैरा में, " 5 फरवरी, 2005 तक" अंकों और शब्दों के स्थान पर 5 अगस्त, 2005 तक" अंक और शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th February, 2005
S.O. 166 ( E ). Whereas the Central Government , in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - sections ( 1 ) and (2 ) of Section 14 of the Inter - State River Water Disputes Act , 1956 (33 of 1956 ) , constituted the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal for the verification and adjudication of the matters referred to in paragraphs 9.1 and 9.2 of the Punjab Settlement vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources number S.O. 169 (E) , dated the 2nd April , 1986;
And whereas the said Tribunal submitted its Report to the Central Government on the 30th January, 1987;
And whereas the Central Government made further reference to the Tribunal on the 19th August , 1987 for explanation and guidance in terms of Sub- section (3 ) of Section 5 of the said Act ;
And whereas the said Tribunał , has been required to forward its further report giving the explanation or guidance as it deems fit in terms of Sub- section ( 3 ) of Section 5 of the said Act;
And whereas the Central Government vide notification number S.O. 905 ( E) dated the 5th August , 2003 had extended the said period within which the Tribunal may forward its further report to that Government till the 5th August , 2004;
Andwhereas the Central Government vide notification number S.O. 889 (E) dated the 5th August, 2004 had further extended the said period within which the Tribunal may forward its further report to that Government till the 5th February, 2005;
And whereas the Central Government considers it necessary to extend the said period till the 5th August, 2005;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Sub - section (3 ) of Section 5 of the Inter - State RiverWater Disputes Act. 1956 (33 of 1956 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the said notification number S.O. 905 ( E) dated the 5th August, 2003 , namely:-
In the said notification , in the last paragraph, for the words , figures and letters " till the 5th day of February, 2005 " , the words, figures and letters " till the 5th day of August , 2005 " shall be substituted .
