In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 4 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act , 1986 ( 63 of 1986) read with rule 6 of Bureau of Indian Standards Rules , 1987, and in supersession of the Bureau of Indian Standards Notification number S.O. 1073 ( E) dated 9th October, 2002, the Bureau of Indian Standards , with the prior approval of the Central Government , hereby constitutes the Executive Committee of the Bureau consisting of the following members , namely: -
