फा. सं. 81 ( 1 )आई एन एस II /2002.- केन्द्रीय सरकार, जीवन बीमा निगम अधिनियम, 1956 ( 1956 का 31 ) की धारा 49, द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, जीवन बीमा निगम विनियम, 1959 का संशोधन करने के लिए भारत सरकार की पूर्व अनुमति के साथ निम्नलिखित विनियम बनाती है अर्थात्:-
1. ( अ ) इन विनियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम ( संशोधन ) विनियम, 2005 होगा ।
(ब) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होगी ।
2. जीवन बीमा निगम विनियम, 1959 के विनियम 43 के खण्ड ( ii ) के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित होंगे :
" प्रत्येक बीमा धारक परिषद् में बीमाधारकों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले पांच सदस्य होंगे जो मण्डल कार्यालय के कार्यक्षेत्र के निवासी होंगे और निगम द्वारा नामांकित किए जाएंगे । पांच सदस्यों में से एक महिला, एक अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति के तथा एक उपभोक्ता कार्यकर्ता होंगे ।"

NOTIFICATION
Mumbai , the 28th February, 2005
F. No. 81 (1 ) Ins. II/ 2002 .--In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- section ( 1 ) of Section 49 of Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), the Life Insurance Corporation of India, with the previous appproval of the Central Government hereby makes the following regulations , further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation Regulations , 1959 , nameiy:-
1. (a) These regulations may be called the Life Insurance Corporation ( Amendment) Regulations , 2005.
(b) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette .
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation Regulations, 1959 , for clause (ii ) of Regulation 43 , the following regulations shall be substituted, namely:
"Each policy holders ' council shall consist ofFive Members as representatives of the policyholder, resident of the area served bythe Divisional Office and nominated by the Corporation. Out of the Five Members , one shall be awoman, one from Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and one a consumer activist . "

(ब ) ये दिनांक 9 मई, 2004 से प्रवृत्त होगी ।
2. जीवन बीमा निगम विनियम, 1959 के विनियम 43 के उपविनियम ( v ) के खण्ड (अ ) में ' 250/- रुपए', अंकों और शब्दके स्थान पर. ' रुपए 500/-' अंक और शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।

1. (a) These Regulations may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Amendment ) Regulations, 2004.
(b) It shall come into force with effect from 9th May, 2004.
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation Regulations , 1959 , in Regulation 43 Sub- regulation V, Clause (a) , for the letters and figure 'Rs . 250/-' the letters and figure ' Rs . 500/~' shall be substituted.
