का.आ. 451 ( अ ) - केन्द्रीय सरकार, केन्द्रीय मोटर यान नियम, 1988 के नियम 124 के उप - नियम ( 1 ) के साथ पठित गोटर यान अधिनियम , 1988 ( 1988 का 59 ) की धारा 109 की उप - धारा ( 3 ) और धारा 110 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) के खंड (ट) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , भारत सरकार के पोत परिवहन , सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय ( सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग विभाग) की अधिसूचना संख्या का. आ . 1365 (अ) , तारीख 13 दिसम्बर , 2004 , जो भारत के राजपत्र , असाधारण , भाग 2 , खंड 3 , उप - खंड ( ii) में प्रकाशित हुई थी, में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है , अर्थात्ः-
उक्त अधिसूचना की सारणी में ,
(i ) क्रम सं 0 1 और उसकी प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात्: -

ए आई एस - 008/2001 13 दिसम्बर , 2004 | " * 20 तीन से अधिक पहिए वाले गैर- परिवहन और परिवहन यानों ओर उनके ट्रेलरों व अर्धट्रेलरों के लिए निम्नलिखित के अध्यधीन प्रकाश और प्रकाश सिग्नल तंत्र की स्थापना,

सुरक्षा मानक सं . 15.1 13 दिसम्बर, 2004 | " i iii) मुड़ने के संकेत के स्वतः बन्द होने की अपेक्षा को छोड़कर संनिर्माण उपस्कर यानों की प्रकाश , प्रकाश संकेत और दिशा सूचक प्रणाली की कार्य निष्पादन अपेक्षाएं ।
अपवादः
सुरक्षा मानक संख्या 15.1 का अनुपालन , कृषि ट्रेक्टर और अन्य विशेष उददेशीय मोटर यानों पर लागू नहीं होगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 30th March, 2005
S.O. 451 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (3) of section 109 and clause (k) of sub - section ( 1 ) of section 110 of the Motor Vehicles Act , 1988 (59 of 1988), read with sub- rule ( 1 ) of rule 124 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules , 1989 , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping , Road Transport and Highways ( Department of Road Transport and Highways ) , number S.O.1365 ( E) dated 13th December, 2004 , published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary, Part -II , Section 3, Sub -section ( ii ) , namely: -
In the said notification , in the Table ,
(i) for Sl . No. 1 and entries thereto, the following shall be substituted , namely: - "*1
AIS- 034/2004 1stApril , 2005.
Automobile lamps used in motor vehicles including construction equipment vehicles for the following applications:
(For 2 and 3 wheelers) (i ) Head Lights Main and Dip
(ii) Parking Light
1st October, 2005 (For4 wheeiers ) " ;
(iii) Direction Indicator Lamp
( iv) Tail Lamp
(v ) Reversing Lamp
(vi) Stop Lamp

(vii ) Rear Registration Mark Illuminating
(viii) Top Light
( ii ) for Sl . No. 20 and entries thereto , the following shall be substituted , namely:-

AIS -008/ 2001
Installation requirement for lighting and lightsignaling devices for non-transport and transport vehicles having more than three wheels , and their trailers and semi -trailers , subject to the following;
1st October , 2005.
Clause 6.2.6.1 of AIS-008 /2001
(i )Installation requirement for vertical orientation of dipped beam headlamp ;

13th December, 2004 and valid upto 30thSeptember, 2005.
(ii) Performance requirement of the lighting , light signaling and direction indicator systems;
AIS-012/2004 1st October, 2005.

[PART II-SEC. 3 (ii)] Exception:
Compliance of Safety Standard No. 15.1 shall not be applicable to agricultural tractor and other special purpose motor vehicles.
