का.आ. 1657(अ).- केन्द्रीय सरकार, ठेका श्रम (विनियमन और उत्सादन ) अधिनियम, 1970 ( 1970 का 37 ) की धारा 31 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्रीय सलाहकार ठेका श्रम बोर्ड से परामर्श के पश्चात्, भारत सरकार के श्रम मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 234 ( अ ) , तारीख 26 फरवरी, 2002 , जो भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II , खंड 3 , उप-खण्ड ( ii ) तारीख 26 फरवरी, 2002 में प्रकाशित की गई थी, के लागू होने से, " पड़ताल सहायक " के कार्य में ठेका श्रम के नियोजन के संबंध में, कोलकाता मेट्रो रेल के स्थापन को 5 अगस्त, 2006 की अवधि तक इस शर्त के अध्यधीन एतद्वारा छूट देती है कि ठेका कर्मकारों को संदत्त मजदूरी 8 घण्टा पारी प्रतिदिन 129 रुपए से बढ़ाकर 140 रुपए प्रतिदिन कर दी जाती है ।

New Delhi , the 25th November , 2005
S.O. 1657 (E) .-- In exercise of the powers con- ferredby Section 31 of the Contract Labour (Regulation andAbolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970) , the Central Govern- ment, after consultation with the Central Advisory Con- tract Labour Board, hereby exempts the establishment of Metro Railway, Kolkata, in respect ofemployment ofcon- tract labour in the work of " Checking Assistant" from the applicability of Notification number S.O. 234 (E ) , dated the 26th February , 2002 , of the Government ofIndia in the Ministry of Labour , published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary , Part II , Section 3 , Sub -section ( ii ) , dated the 26th February, 2002 for a period up to the 5th August, 2006 subject to the condition that the wages paid to the contract workers are raised from Rs . 129 per day to Rs . 140 per day per 8 hour shift.
