सा.का.नि. 699(अ) .-अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 61 ) की धारा 3 की उप - धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार, संबंधित राज्य सरकारों से परामर्श के एतद्वारा अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं ( मृत्यु-सह-सेवानिवृत्ति-प्रसुविधाएं) नियमावली, 1958 में आगे और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्: -
1. ( i ) इन नियमों का नाम अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं ( मृत्यु-सह- सेवानिवृत्ति- प्रसुविधाएं ) संशोधन नियमावली, 2005 है ।
( ii ) ये नियम तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू होंगे ।
2. अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं ( मृत्यु- सह-सेवानिवृत्ति- प्रसुविधाएं) नियमावली, 1958 के नियम 16 के उप - नियम ( 1 ) में दूसरे परन्तुक के नीचे निम्नलिखित परन्तुक जोड़ा जाए:-
" परन्तु यह भी कि किसी राज्य सरकार में मुख्य सचिव के पद पर कार्यरत सेवाके किसी सदस्य को केन्द्र सरकार के पुर्वानुमोदन से अधिकतम 6 माह की अवधि का सेवा विस्तार प्रदान किया जा सकता है जिसे संबंधित राज्य सरकार द्वारा पूर्ण रूप से न्यायोचित ठहराते हुए और जनहित में संस्तुत किया गया हो। " ।

MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (Department of Personnel and Training) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 30th November, 2005
GSR 699 (E) . In exercise of powers conferred by Sub-section ( 1 ) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951 ) , the Central Government , after consulta- tion with the Government of the States concerned hereby makes the following rules further to amend the All India Services (Death- Cum-Retirement Benefits ) Rules , 1958, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the All India Services ( death- Cum-Retirement Benefits ) Amendment Rules , 2005.
(ii) They shall come into force forthwith.
2. In the All India Services (Death- cum -Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958 in rule 16, sub-rule (1 ) , the following proviso may be inserted below second proviso :-
"Provided also that a Member of the Service holding the post of Chief Secretary to a State Government may be given extension of service for a period not exceeding six months on the recommendations made by the concerned State Government with full justification and in public interest, with the prior approval of the Central Government. " .
