आ.अ. 72(अ).-यतः , महाराष्ट्र राज्य की लोक सभा में 46- सांगली संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से निर्वाचित , श्री प्रकाशबापूवी. पाटिल का स्थान, उनकी मृत्यु हो जाने के कारण 21-10-2005 को रिक्त हो गया है ; और
2. यतः , इस प्रकार हुई रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से एक उप - निर्वाचन कराना है ;
3. अतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उपधारा ( 1 ) तथा धारा 30 और 56 के अनुसरण में, भारत निर्वाचन आयोग एतद्वारा:-
(अ) महाराष्ट्र राज्य के उक्त 46- सांगली संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह 27-1-2006 ( शुक्रवार ) से पूर्व तथा उक्त अधिनियम और तद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और किए गए आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार राज्य की लोक सभा में उक्त रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से एक व्यक्तिनिर्वाचित कर दें;
(आ) उक्त निर्वान के संबंध में:-
(क) नाम निर्देशन करने की अन्तिम तारीख
4-1-2006 ( बुधवार) (ख) नाम निर्देशन की संवीक्षा की तारीख
5-1-2006 ( गुरुवार)
7-1-2006 (शनिवार) (ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अंतिम तारीख
21-1-2006 (शनिवार) (घ ) वह तारीख , जिसको यदि आवश्यक हुआ, तो मत्तदान होगा
27-1-2006 ( शुक्रवार) (ङ) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा लिया जाएगा
नियत करता है; और
(ग) 8.00 बजे पूर्वाहन् से 5.00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो, निर्वाचन के लिए उपर्युक्त विनिर्दिष्ट तारीख को, मतदान होगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 28th December, 2005
O.N. 72( C) . Whereas , the seat of Shri Prakashbapu V. Patil in the House of the People, elected from 46 - Sangli Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra, has become vacant on 21-10-2005 by reason of his death;
2.Whereas , a bye - election is to be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy so caused;
3.Now, Therefore, in pursuance of Sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 149 , and Sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the Election Commission of India hereby:--
(A) calls upon the said 46- Sangli Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Maharashtra , to elect , before the 27-1-2006 (Friday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the House of the People ;
(B) apppoints , with respect to the said election :----
(a) the 4-1-2006 (Wednesday) , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 5-1-2006 (Thursday ) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 7-1-2006 (Saturday) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures,
(d) the 21-1-2006 (Saturday) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 27-1-2006 (Friday) , as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(C) fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M. , as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above for the election.
