S.O. 57 (E) .-Whereas the Government of India in the Ministry ofLabour and Employment in their notification No S.O. 1494(E) dated 17th October, 2005 appointed Dr. P. D. Shenoy, former Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment to hold a formal inquiry into the causes and circumstances attending the accident and to fix responsibility for the causes leading to the accident that occurred on 15th June, 2005 in the collieries of M/s Central Coalfield Limited, more particularly in the Central Saunda Colliery inHazaribaghDistrict of Jharkhand State , causing loss of lives and present a report within a period of three months. The duration of the enquiry was up to 16-1-2006.
का.आ. 57 (अ) .- जबकि भारत सरकार के श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय ने दिनांक 17 अक्तूबर, 2005 कीअपनी अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 1494 ( अ) के द्वारा डॉ. पी. डी. शेनॉय, पूर्व सचिव, श्रम एवं रोजगार को मै. सैन्ट्रल कोलफील्ड लि. की कोयला खदानों, विशेष रूप से झारखंड राज्य के हजारीबाग जिले में सैन्ट्रल सौंदा कोलियरी में 15 जून , 2005 को हुई दुर्घटना जिसमें कई श्रमिकों की जान गई थी, के कारण और परिस्थितियों की जांच- पड़ताल करने के साथ- साथ दुर्घटना होने के कारणों की जिम्मेदारी तय करने और तीन माह की अवधिके भीतर रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने के लिए नियुक्त किया था । जांच पड़ताल की अवधि 16-1--2006 तक के लिए थी ।

और जबकि जांच पड़ताल करने तथा रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने के लिए अवधि बढ़ाना आवश्यक हो गया है ।
अतः , अब केन्द्र सरकार इस अवधि को 17 जनवरी , 2006 से 16 अप्रैल, 2006 तक तीन माह की और अवधि अथवा जांच न्यायालय द्वारा रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत किए जाने के दिन/तारीख , जो भी पहले हो, तक के लिए बढ़ाती है । तदनुसार, जांच - पड़ताल करने एवं रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने के लिए अध्यक्ष डॉ. पी. डी. शेनॉय की नियुक्ति की अवधि और श्री आर. शंर्मा, पूर्व- महानिदेशक, खान सुरक्षा तथा श्री राजेन्द्र प्रसाद सिंह, अध्यक्ष, राष्ट्रीय कोलियरी मजदूर संघ की असेसरों के रूप में नियुक्तिकी अवधि भी तीन महीने अर्थात् 16 अप्रैल, 2006 तक अथवा जांच न्यायालय द्वारा रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत किए जाने के दिन/तारीख , जो भी पहले हो, तक के लिए बढ़ाई जाती है ।
Now, therefore, the Central Government do hereby extend this duration for a further period of three months from 17th January, 2006 to 16th April, 2006 or till the day/ date on which the report of the Inquiry is submitted, whichever is earlier. Accordingly the period of appointment ofChairman, Dr. P. D. Shenoy to conduct the inquiry and present the report and the period of appointment of Shri R. Sharma, Ex -Director General of Mines Safety and Shri Rajender Prasad Singh, President, Rashtriya Colliery, Mazdoor Sangh, as assessors is also extended for a further period ofthree months i.e. upto 16thApril, 2006 or till the day/date on which the report of the Court of Inquiry is submitted, whichever is earlier.
