का.आ. 133(अ) .- भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का. आ . 169 (अ) तारीख 2 अप्रैल, 1986 द्वारा, उसमें निर्दिष्ट कतिपय विषयों के सत्यापन और न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए रावी और ब्यास जल अधिकरण का गठन किया गया था और उक्त अधिकरण ने अपनी रिपोर्ट 30 जनवरी, 1987 को केन्द्रीय सरकार को भेज दी थी;
दिए गए हैं; और केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा उक्त अधिकरण को उपर्युक्त रिपोर्ट पर स्पष्टीकरण और मार्गदर्शन के लिए 19 अगस्त, 1987 को और निर्देश कर
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने, इसकी और रिपोर्ट को पूरा करने में उक्त अधिकरण द्वारा किए गए कठिन परिश्रम को ध्यान में रखते हुए, उक्त रिपोर्ट करने की अवधि को 5 फरवरी, 2006 तक, भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 1093 (अ) , तारीख 4 अगस्त, 2005 द्वारा समय- समय पर बढ़ाया था;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार, उसमें अंतर्वलित कार्य की अत्यावश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए, जैसा उक्त अधिकरण द्वारा उपदर्शित किया गया है, उक्त अवधि को, 5 फरवरी, 2006 के पश्चात् उक्त अवधि को और छह मास के लिए बढ़ाना आवश्यक समझती है;
अतः अब , केन्द्रीय सरकार, अंतरराज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम, 1956 (1956 का 33) की धारा 5 की उप- धारा (3 ) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, ऐसी अवधि को, जिसके भीतर अधिकरण इस प्रकार किए गए निर्देश पर अपनी रिपोर्ट केन्द्रीय सरकार को 5 अगस्त, 2006 तक भेज सकेगा, और उस प्रयोजन के लिए भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 1093 (अ) , तारीख 4 अगस्त, 2005 में निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है, अर्थात्ः-
जाएंगे । उक्त अधिसूचना के अंतिम पैरा में " 5 फरवरी , 2006 तक " शब्दों और अंकों के स्थान पर " 5 अगस्त, 2006 तक " शब्द और अंक रखे

टिप्पणीः- रावी और ब्यास जल अधिकरण को गठित करने वाली मूल अधिसूचना भारत के राजपत्र में अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 169(अ) तारीख 2 अप्रैल, 1986 द्वारा प्रकाशित की गई थी और पश्चात्वर्ती संशोधन अधिसूचना संख्यांक का. आ. 666 ( अ ) तारीख 10 जून, 2003 द्वारा किया गया और उस अवधि को जिसके भीतर अधिकरण से अपनी रिपोर्ट को केन्द्रीय सरकार को भेजने के लिए अपेक्षा की गई थी, समय - समय पर अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 905 ( अ ) तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2003 , का.आ. 889 ( अ ) तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2004, का.आ. 166 ( अ ) तारीख 4 फरवरी , 2005 और का. आ. 1093 ( अ ) तारीख 4 अगस्त, 2005 द्वारा बढ़ाया गया था ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 3rd February , 2006
S.O. 133 (E ) . Whereas the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources vide its notification number S.O. 169 (E ) dated the 2nd April, 1986 constituted the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal for verification and adjudication of certainmatters referred therein, and the said Tribunal forwarded its report to the Central Government on 30th January, 1987;
And whereas, further references have been made by the Central Government to the said Tribunal on 19th August , 1987 requiring explanation and guidance on the report aforesaid;
And whereas, considering the enormous exercise undertaken by the said Tribunal in completing its further report , the Central Government extended the period of making the said report, from time to time, till the 5th February, 2006 vide Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources No. S.O. 1093 (E) dated the 4th August, 2005;
And whereas, the Central Government keeping in view the exigencies of the work involved, as pointed out by the said Tribunal considers it necessary to extend the said period for another six months after the 5th February, 2006;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub - section (3 ) of Section 5 of the Inter -State RiverWater Disputes Act , 1956 (33 of 1956) , the Central Government hereby further extends the period, within which the Tribunal may forward its report on the references so made , to the Central Government till the 5th day of August , 2006 , and forthat purpose makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources No. S.O. 1093 (E ) dated the 4th August, 2005 , namely:-
In the said notification in the last paragraph, for the words, figures and letters " till the 5th day of February , 2006" , the words , figures and letters " till the 5th day of August , 2006 " shall be substituted.

Note: The principal notification constituting the Ravi & Beas Waters Tribunai was paviisited in ihe Gazette oflindia vide No SO 169 (E ) dated the 2nd April, 1986 and subsequently amended vide No. S.O. 666 (E) dated the 10th June , 2003; and the period within which the Tribunal was required to forward its further report to the Central Government wasextended from time to time vide No. S.O. 905 (E) dated the 5th August, 2003 , S.O. 889 (E) dated the 5th August, 2004 , S.O. 166 (E) dated the 4th February , 2005 and S.O. 1093 (E) dated the 4th August, 2005.
