S.O. 159 (E ). In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- section ( 1 ) of Section 5 read with Sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) and rules 6 and 7 of the University Grants Commission(Disqualification , Retirement and Conditions ofService ofMembers) Rules, 1992, the Central Government hereby appoints Dr. Sukhadeo Thorat, as Chairman, University Grants Commission in the scale of pay of Rs . 26,000 ( fixed) (plus usual allowances) with immediate effect, for a term of five years or until further orders , whichever is earlier .
का.आ. 159(अ) . विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अधिनियम, 1956 ( 1956 का 3 ) की धारा 6 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) के साथ पठित धारा 5 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) और विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग ( सदस्यों की निरर्हता, सेवा निवृत्ति और सेवा शर्तें ) नियम , 1992 के नियम 6 व 7 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्रीय सरकार डा. सुखदेव थोराट को 26,000 रु. (निर्धारित ) ( जमा सामान्य भत्ते) के वेतनमान में तत्काल प्रभाव से पाँच वर्ष की अवधि के लिए या अगले आदेशों तक, जो भी पहले हो, विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त करती है ।
