का.आ. 217(अ) .- राष्ट्रपति ने, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 80 के खण्ड ( 3 ) के साथ पठित उस अनुच्छेद के खण्ड ( 1 ) के उप- खण्ड (क ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राज्य सभा के तीन सदस्योंको, उस सदन में नामनिर्देशित उन सदस्यों के, जो अपनी पदावधि के अवसान पर निवृत्त हो गए हैं, स्थानों को भरने के लिए नामनिर्देशित किया है ;
अतः , अब, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 43) की धारा 71 के अनुसरण में, राष्ट्रपति द्वारा नामनिर्देशित किए गए निम्नलिखित सदस्यों के नामों को सर्वसाधारण की जानकारी के लिए अधिसूचित किया जाता है : -
1. डॉ. ( श्रीमती ) कपिला वात्स्यायन
2. श्रीमती शोभना भरतिया
3. श्री श्याम बेनेगल

S.O. 217 ( E ) .- Whereas the President, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub- clause (a) of clause (1) ofarticle 80 of the Constitution , read with clause (3 ) of that article , has nominated three members to the Council of States to fill the three seats of the nominated members in thatHouse, who retired on the expiration of the term of theiroffice;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the names ofthe following members nominated by the President arehereby notified for general information: ----

2. Smt. Shobhana Bhartia
3. Shri Shyam Benegal .
