का.आ. 262( अ ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क अधिनियम, 1944 ( 1944 का 1 ) की धारा 5क के साथ पठित तेल उद्योग (विकास ) अधिनियम 1974 ( 1974 का 47 ) की धारा 15 की उप - धारा ( 4 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, तथा भारत सरकार में पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 417 (ङ ) दिनांक 12-4-2002 का अधिक्रमण करते हुए, उन बातोंके सिवाय जिन्हें ऐसे अधिक्रमण से पूर्व किया गया है या करने से लोप किया गया है, यह संतुष्ट हो जाने पर कि लोकहित में ऐसा करना आवश्यक है , नीचे की सारणी में वर्णित उत्त्पादन हिस्सेदारी संविदाओं के अधीन के क्षेत्र से कच्चे तेल के उत्पादन को , भारत सरकार के पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय के का. आ. 253 (अ ) तारीख 28 फरवरी, 2006 की अधिसूचना द्वारा विनिर्दिष्ट दो हजार पांच सौ रुपए प्रति मीट्रिक टन की दर पर, उत्पाद शुल्क की दर के मुकाबले एक हजार छह सौ रुपए प्रति मीट्रिक टन की दर की सीमा तक उत्पाद शुल्क से छूट देती है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th February, 2006.
S.O. 262(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub -section (4) of Section 15 of the Oil Industry (Development) Act, 1974 (47 of 1974 ), read with Section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 ( 1 of 1944), and in supersession ofthe notification ofthe Government ofIndia in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Number SO417 (E) , dated, 12thApril, 2002, except as respects things done or omittedto be done before such supersession, the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary inthe public interest so to do, hereby exempts the duty of excise on crude oil production from the fields under the Production Sharing Contracts mentioned in the Table below tothe extent ofrupees One thousand six hundred per tonne asagainst the rate ofduty of excise of rupees Two thousand five hundred per tonne as specified vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural GasNumber S.O. -253 (E) dated the 28th February, 2006.
