आ.अ. 18( अ). लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1950 (1950 का 43 ) की धारा 13 कक की उप-धारा ( 1 ) और (2 ) में निहित उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में, निर्वाचन आयोग पांडिचेरी सरकार के साथ परामर्श से एतद्वारा :
( 1 ) नीचे की सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 1 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट संघ राज्य क्षेत्र पांडिचेरी में प्रत्येक जिले/क्षेत्र के लिए स्तम्भ ( 2 ) विनिर्दिष्ट अधिकारी के सामने उस जिले/ क्षेत्र के लिए जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी के रूप में पदाभिहित करता है; और
(2) प्रत्येक ऐसे अधिकारी के संबंध में सारणी के स्तम्भ 3 में विनिर्दिष्ट क्षेत्र के लिए अपने क्षेत्राधिकार का प्रयोग करेगा ।'

O.N. 18 (E ) . In pursuance of the provisions contained in Sub -sections (1 ) and ( 2) of Section 13AA of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission, in consultation with the Government ofPondicherry hereby:
(1) Designates for each district/area in the Union Territory ofPondicherry specified in column ( 1) ofthe Table below, the officer specified against it in column (2) thereof as the District Election Officer for the District/Area; and
(2) Specifies the area, in respect of which each such officer shall exercise jurisdiction, in column (3 ) ofthe Table .
