सा.का.नि. 672( अ ) .- महापत्तन -न्यास-अधिनियम , 1963 ( 1963 के अधिनियम सं 0 38 ) की धारा 2 की उपधारा ( थ) के साथ पठितं भारतीय पत्तन-अधिनियम , 1908. ( 1908 के अधिनियम सं0 15) की धारा 5 की उपधारा (2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त अधिकारं प्रयुक्त करके और भारत सरकार के पहले के पोत - परिवहन और परिवहन मंत्रालय के पत्तन- स्कंध की दिनांक 28 मई , 1982 की अधिसूचना सा0 का0नि 0 सं0 430 (अ ०) को अधिक्रांत करके , केन्द्रीय सरकार , एतद्वारा , यह घोषित करती है कि मुम्बई-पत्तन की सीमाएँ निम्नानुसारर होंगी: -
उत्तर में: -
ट्रॉम्बे गाँव के निकट और दक्षिण-पश्चिम- सीमा-स्तंभ से ट्रॉम्बे द्वीप के तट से पिर पाउ तक , वहाँ से ट्रॉम्बे द्वीप के तट से अनिक गाँव में सर्वेक्षण संख्या 42 में अवस्थित सीमा- स्तंभ तक और वहाँ से माहुल नाम की सँकरी खाड़ी के पार चाँदनी नाम की सँकरी खाड़ी के दक्षिणी तट पर अवस्थित सीमा- स्तंभ तक ।
पश्चिममें: -
चाँदनी नाम की सँकरी खाड़ी के दक्षिणी तट पर अवस्थित सीमा-स्तंभ से , मुंबई द्वीप के पूर्वी तट से कोलाबा पॉइंट के दक्षिणी चरम बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से पुश्त खाड़ी के तट से मालाबार पॉइंट तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 18° 56.3 ' उत्तर , देशान्तर 72° 45.9 ′ पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक खींची गई रेखा तक, वहाँ से अक्षांश 18° 57' उत्तर , देशान्तर 72° 44′ पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक, वहाँ से अक्षांश 18° 48.8′ उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 ° 40.9' पूर्व

में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 18° 47.7 ′ उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 ° 45.4 ′ पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक और कंन्होजी एंग्रे द्वीप के पश्चिमी बिन्दु पर सीमा- स्तंभ तक कायम तथा वहाँ से उपर्युक्त द्वीप के पश्चिमी तट से उसके दक्षिणी बिन्दु पर सीमा-स्तंभ तक ।
दक्षिण में:-
उन्डरी के दक्षिण बिन्दु से होकर कुन्डरी ( केनरी) के दक्षिणी बिन्दु पर सीमा -स्तंभ से नवगाम (नवेदार नवगाँव) नामक गाँव के दक्षिण में मुख्य भूमि पर सीमा -स्तंभ तक खींची गई रेखा ।
पूर्वमें: -
नवमाम ( नवेदार नवगाँव ) नामक गाँव के दक्षिण में अवस्थित सीमा - स्तंभ , मुख्य भूमि के पश्चिमी और उत्तरी तट से थल नॉब संकेतक के उत्तर - पूर्वी सीमा- स्तंभ तक , वहाँ से धरमतर नाम की सँकरी खाड़ी के पार करंजा द्वीप के दक्षिणी छोर पर सीमा-स्तंभ तक, वहाँ से करंजा द्वीप के पश्चिमी तट से उपर्युक्त द्वीप के सर्वाधिक उत्तरी बिन्दु पर सीमा- स्तंभ तक , वहाँ से करंजा द्वीप के उत्तरी बिन्दु पर अवस्थित सीमा -स्तंभ से एक रेखा के साथ - साथ 1550 मीटर पर हॉग द्वीप के उत्तर - पश्चिमी बिन्दु पर सीमा-स्तंभ तक, वहाँ से उरन के पंक- मैदानों के पार एक रेखा से लगभग अक्षांश 18° -53′ - 54 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 ° -56 ′ - 30 " पूर्व में स्थान तक , वहाँ से करंजा द्वीप के उत्तरी तट पर अक्षांश 18° -55′- 23 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 °-55′- 50" पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 18° -54 ′ - 40 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 ° -55′ - 23 " पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक और वहाँ से अक्षांश 18 °-55 ′ - 47 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72° -53 ′ - 30 " पूर्व( पश्चिमी उरन बोया) में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 18 ° 56′- 25 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72°-54′ -40 " पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक और वहाँ से अक्षांश 18 ° -56′ - 45 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72° -54 '- 50 " पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 18°-57 ′ - 5 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72°-56' - 8 " पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक, वहाँ से एलिफेंटा द्वीप के दक्षिणी और पूर्वी तटों के साथ- साथ अक्षांश 18° -58 ′ - 25 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72 ° 56 ' - 18 ' पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से अक्षांश 19 ° -व' - 50 " उत्तर , देशान्तर 72°-58′ -17 " पूर्व में एक बिन्दु तक , वहाँ से थाणे की सँकरी खाड़ी के पार से ट्रॉम्बे के निकट और दक्षिण-पश्चिम में सीमा- स्तंभ तक ।
उपर्युक्त पत्तन की सीमाओं में प्रिन्सेस और विक्टोरिया तथा इन्दिरा गोदियों तथा उपर्युक्त गोंदियों के किसी विस्तार के अंतर्गत सामान्यतः जल- क्षेत्र में आने वाला सम्पूर्ण जल - क्षेत्र और थल शामिल है ।
टिप्पणी: "तट" शब्द का अभिप्राय , भारतीय पत्तन -अधिनियम , 1908 की धारा 4 की उपधारा (4 ) में यथा परिभाषित उच्चतम जल -स्तरांक अर्थात् वर्ष के किसी भी मौसम में साधारण बृहत् ज्वार द्वारा प्रभावित उच्चतम जल-स्तर-बिन्दु है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 26th October , 2006
G.S.R 672 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of Section 5 of the Indian Ports Act , 1908 ( 15 of 1908 ) read with sub - section (q) of Section 2 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963 ) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Shipping and Transport, (Ports Wing) number G.S.R. 430 (E ) , dated the 28th May, 1982 , the Central Government hereby declares that the limits of the Port of Mumbai shall be as follows : -
TO THE NORTH : -
From the boundary pillar south -west of and near to the village of Trombay the shore of Trombay Island to Pir Pau, thence the shore of Trombay Island to the boundary pillar situated in Survey No. 42 of Anik Village , and thence a line across the Mahul Creek to the boundary pillar situated on the south bank of Chandni Creek .
TO THE WEST : -
The eastern shore of the Island of Mumbai from the boundary pillar situated on the south bank of the Chandni Creek to the Southern extremity of Colaba point, thence the shore of Back Bay to Malbar Point, thence a line drawn to a point in Latitude 18° 56.3 ' N, Longitude 72° 45.9 ' E thence to a point in Latitude 18 ° 57 ' N, Longitude 72° 44' E thence to a point in Latitude 18° 57' N, Longitude 72° 41 ' E thence to a point in Latitude 18° 48.8' N, Longitude 72° 40.9 ' E, thence to a point in Latitude 18° 47.7' N, Longitude 72° 45.4 ' E and continued to the boundary pillar on the west point of Kanhoji Angre Island and thence the western shore of the Island to the boundary pillar on the south point thereof.
TO THE SOUTH : -
A line drawn from the boundary pillar on the south point of Kundari (Kennery ) through the south point of Undari to the boundary pillar on the mainland south of the village of Navagam (Navedar Navgaon) .
TO THE EAST : -
From the boundary pillar situated south of Navagam (Navedar Navgaon) the western and northern shore of the mainland to the boundary pillar north east of the Thull Knob Beacon, then a line across the Dharamtar Creek to the boundary pillar on the south THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY

end of the Island of Karanja , thence the western shore of the Island of Karanja to the boundary pillar situated at the northern most point of the Island, thence 1550 metre along a line from the boundary pillar situated at the northern point of the Karanja Island to the boundary pillar on the north west point of Hog Island , thence a line across the Uran Mud Flats to a position approximate Latitude 18 ° -53 ' - 54 " N , Longitude 72 ° -56 ' - 30 " E , on the north shore of Karanja Island thence to a point in Latitude 18° -55' - 23 " N, Longitude 72° -55 ' - 50 " E , thence to a point in Latitude 18 ° -54' -40 " N , Long 72° -55' -23 " E , and thence to a point in Latitude 18 ° -55' - 47 " N, Longitude 72° -53 ' - 30 " E ( west Uran buoy) and thence to a point in Latitude 18 ° -56' - 25 " N, Longitude 72 ° -54 ' - 40 " E, and thence to a point 18 ° -56' - 45 " N , Longitude 72 ° -54' - 50 " east thence to a point in Latitude 18° -57'- $" N, Longitude 72° -56' - 8 " E , thence along the southern and eastern shore of Elephanta Island to the point 18 ° -58 ' - 25 " N , Longitude 72° -56' - 18 " E, thence to a point in Latitude 19 ° -0' - 50 " N, Longitude 72 ° -58 ' - 17 " E , and thence across Thane Creek to the boundary pillar south west of and near to Trombay village .
Ports limits include all water and land usually covered by water within the Princess and Victoria and Indira Docks and any extension of the docks .
NOTE : The word " Shore " is intended to mean the high water mark as defined in sub- section (4) of Section 4 of the Indian Ports Act , 1908 i.e. the highest point reached by ordinary spring tides at any season of the year.
