का.आ. 1898( अ ) विशेष आर्थिक जोन नियमावली , 2006 के नियम 8 के साथ पठित विशेष आर्थिक जोन अधिनियम , 2005 (2005 का 28 ) की धारा 4 की उप - धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी के लिए धारा 3 की उप - धारा ( 10 ) के तहत क्वार्कसिटी इंडिया प्रा. लि. , को दिनांक 9 जून , 2006 को अनुमोदन पत्र प्रदान किए जाने के उपरांत केन्द्र सरकार इस बात से संतुष्ट होने के बाद कि उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 3 की उप - धारा (8 ) के अंतर्गत दी गई अपेक्षाओं और अन्य संबंधित अपेक्षाओं को पूरा कर लिया गया है , एतद्वारा पंजाब राज्य में फोकल पाइंट इंडस्ट्रीयल एरिया , फेज- VIII-एक्सटेंशन , जिला मोहाली में कुल 13.75 हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र को विशेष आर्थिक जोन के रूप में अधिसूचित करती है, जिसमें निम्नलिखित प्लॉट संख्या शामिल है , अर्थात्:-

New Delhi, the 2nd November , 2006
S.O. 1898(E) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005 ) read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules , 2006 and after the grant of the letter of approval on 9th June , 2006 under Sub - section ( 10) of Section 3 to M/ s . Quarkcity India Private Limited for setting up of a Special Economic Zone for information technology, the Central Government , on being satisfied thatthe requirements under Sub- section ( 8 ) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled , hereby notifies the total area of 13.75 hectares at Focal Point Industrial area, Phase VIII -Extension, District Mohali in the State ofPunjab comprising of the plot number given below, as Special Economic Zone , namely :-
"Plot Numbe A-40A".
